MÁRQUEZ STERLING 28A

COL. CENTRO

Its proximity to important monuments, public spaces, and archeological zones make Mexico City’s Centro neighborhood one of the city’s most prominent areas, due to its high historical and cultural value. With this in mind, Edificio Márquez Sterling regenerates one of Centro’s historical buildings, breathing new life into the space by creating a mixed-use development that integrates commercial and residential areas.

The architectural project—designed by Francisco Pardo Arquitectos—completely restores the current building, placing commercial areas in its interior. Further back, a new residential building rises above the historical site, and is made up of 64 apartments of varying typologies, each with a terrace or balcony space that frames the impressive views the city has to offer.

Here at Reurbano, we understand the city as a living and mutable ecosystem that can be transformed through new social dynamics. By establishing a dialogue between built heritage and contemporary architecture, we develop spaces that generate value in their neighborhoods and a sense of belonging in their users.

With each of our projects, we seek to reactivate the space used by different models of social regeneration through urban architecture and design.
